Gold Hill 10km Race - Shaftesbury, Dorset, October 9th 2011
For the first time ever, Nordic Walkers joined Runners to take part in this challenging 10km race.

Anglea Gray set an extremely fast pace up Gold Hill with Tim Le Mesuirer hot on her heals. She kept the lead throughtout to become first Nordic Walker across the finish line, with Tim a close 2nd place. They even finished before some of the runners!
Five North Dorset Quilters took Gold Hill by storm and also raised a fantastic amount of money for their chosen charitites.
Sandra Gilchrist took up Nordic Walking 4 years ago following a second hip replacement. Her recovery and fitness levels have soared. Stronger and fitter than ever before, she comfortabley completed the 10km, proving it is never too late to improve your health and fitness.
